This will be my last post from Panama City, today we leave Panama for Bogotá. I went out and bought a book about this country, wanting to know more and to maybe plan a longer, more intensive visit. What we managed to see in our 4 days here just scratched the surface of the available sites and experiences. The US dollar is basically the currency although the official money is the Balboa. Joselia and Roberto tell us that they have never seen actual Balboas, that you are told that something costs 10 Balboas but you give them 10 US Dollars and everyone is happy. The rest of this post will just be photos - there is too much to say - I will let the photos tell the story. [I had a terrible time getting these to post - maybe in the future I will show another batch of the architecture in the old city. ]
Wonderful pictures and sounds like a great trip. can't wait to see others from your travels. be safe and enjoy!

So great! I especially love the pictures of the buildings' architecture! I had no idea that the US dollar reigned here. How depressing:(
ReplyDeleteNice pictures and I like the architecture of their church. It's surprising that their currency there is dollar, that's weird. Thanks for sharing your photos and good to see Panama through you :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the bench so much and is that a bridge? ..bottom right?
ReplyDeleteLove them all!
