For those that live in Rio de Janeiro relaxation means water and family.
Whether it be walking by, being in, being on, being solitary or with half the city, being while the sun is hot or when the air is cool, when the sun is rising or when falling, they are happiest while relaxing near water.
The sea, the movement of water, is reflected in the rhythms of their walk and in the sway of their music.
Some walk their dogs, some push elderly parents, some guide their children at play, and some sit quiet and contemplate but it is by the powerful sea or the soft lagoa, along the edge of water, it is a ritual as long observed as this city has lived.
I agree with being near water is very relaxing. your photos are all so beautiful Ginger V. great shoot out!!
ReplyDeleteI live close to the coast and water seems to always be a part of relaxation. Beautiful enough to visit. Lucky you to live there.

What great post you have done...I too love the water which comes from spending time there with my father as a girl...he found it relaxing, a place to find peace, and to contemplate life's decisions...

ReplyDeleteLovely shots Ginger, and a great way to relax by the sea.
ReplyDeleteSun, sea and sand; perfect.
We have a similar place where people do rock fishing. The life guards say it is very dangerous. The waves can rush up and sweep the fisherman.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures x
ReplyDeleteOh, to relax by the sea! I miss it. There's nothing like walking barefoot on the sand, with the sound of the waves and the seagulls' cries. Great post!
ReplyDeleteThe beach is the best place to relax. You can do a lot of physical activities or just sitting on the sand watching the beautiful sunset. thanks for sharing your place of relaxation.

Yes, water is relaxing. I did a beach theme too cause that's where I was last week.
