One moment in time

DSC_4458DSC_4452  It doesn't happen very often. As a general rule I move along not Happy and not unhappy, just moving along. On a rare occasion something will happen and I think - at this moment in time I am Happy.

Today I was out hunting for 'Water' and out of the long grass flew a bird - I snapped 3 photos in a row. He flew in, landed and then took off again..... I still can feel that one moment beating inside my head.

  1. It's so great that you caught that bird. I was trying to catch a shot of some birds in a nest in a hole in our tree. I think I got something (too small to see on the screen of the camera and I didn't transfer to my computer yet) but mostly, even though I stood still for a long time with the camera ready to go, those buggers would stick their heads out and by the time I snapped a shot, they were gone.

  2. Moments like that are a special...eye, subject, lens, click click click...one moment. Or three moments in one.

  4. Not only are the pictures fantastic, but the way you described that one tiny moment in time when you just knew in your heart that you were happy. It so very well describes how I feel, just moving along thru my days and then one tiny event in the day, a split second moment stops the clock, and I feel happiness! I have to admit, getting out for shoot-out pictures has given me quite a few of those moments of late!! Maybe we should all do a post on our favorite out and about town with the camera moments!!

  5. Debby - it is so right that we can't live every day on a high note and that the best we can hope for is the middle ground, a balance. The Friday shoot-outs have changed how I look at photograghy and the world around me. It could be competitive spirit but I think it is that I don't want to disappoint - I want to post better photos because the gang is filled with REALLY good photographers. I don't need to be top dog but also don't like being at the bottom in anything I do.
