Open Spaces

DSCN4129

I would say that one thing Houston has, in abundance, is open space.  We do have tall buildings, and traffic and those tight spaces that all large cities have; those spaces that make you feel closed in, surrounded.

But it is easy to drive a short distance in any direction and find space: open space, space to breath, to dream, to meditate with nothing but blue sky and acres of grass, forests or water, surrounding you.

  1. Hi, Ginger! Fabulous shots. Oddly enough, I like the first one. But maybe that is because I have one very similar of a hallway in the place where I used to work. I didn't think to post it today but seeing yours, I should have. The similarity is uncanny. I even flipped it on the side like you did. Great minds work alike.

    1. to funny. I posted this morning with my first cup of coffee. it was like 5am.... I thought the photo looked weird but didn't occur to me that it was on its side. My mind is not as great as yours..... was an accident. I have now turned it. so anyone wanting to see what B&B saw you have to look at it sideways....G

  2. Beautiful. Nevada has almost as much open space as Texas, but not quite. And your open space is much prettier than ours. At least you have lots of water, trees and grass to look at.

  3. Marvelous. First one is simplicity but very dramatic. I think my favorite is the birds. Such a feeling of being free.

  4. I, like Peggy, like the birds. They appear to be strung across the sky like beads. Also love the water reflections.
